We are finally at a point where publishing music feels less like wrestling systems and more like getting ideas out of the studio and into the world.
We have been thinking a lot about what happens after a track is finished, because that part is often where things get messy. Amazing World Music keeps that journey clean and simple, from upload through to release, and it has made a noticeable difference in how artists can focus on the music rather than the admin around it. Behind the scenes, there has been a fair bit of work to keep everything aligned, especially where distribution and reporting meet, and it is still evolving as we go.
One of the most important pieces in that chain is Soundmouse. They provide music reporting services to the broadcasting industry using Music Recognition Technology, monitoring key TV and radio broadcasts in the UK and around the world. For PRS, they track music usage across 125 domestic radio stations, and because our music is uploaded directly to them, it means plays are identified and reported more accurately and efficiently. In simple terms, it helps ensure artists are properly accounted for when their music is used, without relying on manual reporting or things slipping through the cracks.
If you are an artist thinking about releasing music, I would genuinely be interested in your experience of this part of the process. What feels smooth, what feels unclear, and what gets in the way. We are building this step by step, tuning as we go rather than pretending it is already finished. For now, it feels like laying down the foundation before the full track even hits the mix.
